Solana Monkey Business is the pixel-monke house behind one of Solana’s earliest and most recognized NFT lines, now organized under MonkeDAO. The hub spans SMB Gen2 — the classic 24×24 flagship set that still carries full on-chain governance weight — SMB Gen3, the larger next-generation monke line, and SMB Barrel, the redeemable vessel used to claim Gen3. Together those collections feed one member organization with local chapters, global IRL events, builder networks, and treasury-funded programs. Gen1 and a handful of early legacy drops sit in the project’s history; the live market surface that matters for holders today is Gen2, Gen3, and Barrel.
Holder utility
Holding Gen2 or Gen3 unlocks MonkeDAO membership: gated Discord, member-only tools such as the Banana Stand contribution platform, and DAO programs including MonkeVentures deal flow plus the global chapter and event calendar. Gen2 specifically carries on-chain governance — each Gen2 NFT equals one vote on proposals at the DAO’s voting portal — while Gen3 expands the builder-facing identity set and Barrel remains the bridge for holders who still want to redeem into Gen3. The practical upside is access and voice inside that country-club style network across the whole SMB family.
