Onchain Bridges

Onchain Bridges is a blockchain infrastructure platform focused on solving one of the largest challenges facing the tokenized real-world asset (RWA) sector: how to move compliant assets seamlessly across multiple blockchains without sacrificing regulatory requirements. Rather than operating as a standalone blockchain, Onchain Bridges positions itself as a compliance-native interoperability layer that enables issuers to tokenize an asset once and make that same asset available natively across multiple blockchain ecosystems. The platform is designed to support the growing institutional adoption of tokenized assets by combining cross-chain accessibility with automated regulatory enforcement at the protocol level.

A key differentiator of the platform is its approach to compliance. Onchain Bridges utilizes Chainlink’s Automated Compliance Engine (ACE) to enforce KYC, jurisdictional restrictions, sanctions screening, and transfer permissions directly at the smart contract level. Every transfer, trade, and cross-chain transaction is evaluated against predefined compliance rules before execution, ensuring that regulatory requirements remain active throughout the entire lifecycle of an asset rather than only during the onboarding process. This creates a framework designed to support regulated asset issuance while maintaining the transparency and efficiency of blockchain infrastructure.

The platform also addresses blockchain fragmentation through its implementation of Chainlink’s Cross-Chain Token (CCT) standard and Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP). Using a burn-and-mint architecture, Onchain Bridges enables assets to move between supported networks as a single canonical token rather than relying on wrapped representations or synthetic versions of the asset. The protocol is being developed to support both EVM and non-EVM ecosystems, including networks such as Solana and Stellar, allowing issuers to access liquidity and investors across multiple blockchain environments through a unified asset structure.

Another innovative component of the ecosystem is its yield-stripping functionality. This mechanism allows holders to separate an asset’s principal value from its income stream, creating distinct principal and yield tokens. As a result, tokenized assets can simultaneously provide price exposure, serve as collateral within DeFi environments, and allow income streams to be traded independently on secondary markets. This additional layer of financial flexibility expands the potential utility of tokenized real-world assets while introducing new participation opportunities for both institutional and retail users.

Supporting the wider ecosystem is Teleport (TLPT), a utility token designed to simplify transaction costs across multiple networks by allowing users to pay cross-chain and gas fees through a single token rather than maintaining balances of numerous native assets. Demonstrations of the protocol have utilized Miami Beach Tower (MBT), a tokenized commercial real estate asset where rental income serves as the underlying yield stream. Built within the Chainlink BUILD program and leveraging CCIP, CCT, ACE, and CRE technologies, Onchain Bridges is positioning itself as a foundational compliance and interoperability layer for the next generation of tokenized real-world assets, with multi-chain testnet deployments already demonstrating the platform’s core functionality.
